About the App and Methodology

Q: What is NERON designed to do?

A: NERON is a cognitive tracking and wellness tool designed to measure the efficiency and consistency of your brain-to-motor communication. It analyzes the precise timing, speed, and accuracy of your interactions with your device's screen to produce a mathematical "Cognitive Performance Score."

Q: How does the App measure my motor mechanics and cognitive speed?

A: Our proprietary algorithm measures extremely precise, sub-second interactions during the  interactions. Key data points we track include:

Latency: The delay between a visual prompt and your initial movement.
Consistency: The variability in your performance over repeated trials.
Precision: How accurately your finger placement matches the target area.

These metrics are then combined to generate your overall Performance Score.

Q: Is this (or the score) a medical diagnosis?

A: NO, absolutely not. BrDI is a general wellness, educational, and self-tracking application. The scores and feedback provided are for informational purposes only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition, or to replace professional medical advice. If you have concerns about your health, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Q: How accurate are the cognitive insights?

A: Insights are scientifically based on movement and timing patterns but:

1. They are educational only
2. They are not clinical or medical evaluations

Accuracy depends on your engagement, device condition, and environmental stability.

Q: Can this app detect neurological disorders?

A: No. While performance patterns may reflect how your brain processes movement, this app is not intended for any medical or neurological use. It cannot diagnose conditions such as autism, ADHD, Parkinson’s disease, etc.

Data and Privacy

Q: What sensitive information does the App collect?

A: We primarily collect "Motor Mechanics Data," which is the sensitive, high-resolution data related to your interaction with the screen (latency, pressure, speed, etc.). We also collect basic account data (email, name, age/gender if provided, neurological info and athletic level).

Q: Is my Motor Mechanics Data sold to advertisers?

A: NO. We maintain a strict policy: We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your sensitive Motor Mechanics Data, cognitive scores, or any personal identifying information with any third party for advertising, marketing, or data brokerage purposes. We use your data exclusively to power the app's functions and improve our algorithms.

Q: Where is my data stored, and is it secure?

A: Your data is stored on secure, encrypted cloud servers provided by Microsoft Azure. All data is encrypted both when it is transmitted between your device and our servers (in transit) and when it is stored (at rest).

Q:  How can I delete my data and account?

A: You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data. You can initiate this process directly within the App settings under the "Account Management" section, or by emailing our support team at support@m4l.ai. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Usage and Troubleshooting

Q: What is the best way to get an accurate reading?

A: To ensure the most accurate baseline, we recommend:

Consistency: Use the App at the same time of day (e.g., morning or evening).
Focus: Minimize external distractions.
Physical Comfort: Ensure you are sitting comfortably and your device is stable.

Q: My score seems much lower today than yesterday. Why?

A: Scores are highly sensitive to external factors. A lower score might reflect:

Fatigue or Sleep Quality: Your performance changes significantly based on how rested you are.
Medication or Caffeine: These substances can impact reaction time.
Distraction: Even slight mental effort diverted elsewhere can register as lower performance.

Q: What if I forget my password?

A: You can use the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen. You will receive an email at the address associated with your account with instructions to reset your password.
